Workshops are great way to learn a particular subject in greater depth. I run workshops on a variety of different themes.
Yoga Workshops in 2012
Yoga for Healthy Backs
Do you suffer from a niggling back problem that is not getting any better? Come and find out how to gently release and strengthen your back. We will be looking at ways to develop core strength and improve your posture and alignment to help alleviate your back problem. We will explore simple stretches and postures that help relieve tension and I’ll show you how to modify common yoga asanas (postures) safely so that you can practice with confidence. We will also use simple breathing techniques to develop our awareness and relax the mind and body.
There will be hand outs on a short practice for you to do at home so you can continue to improve your back issues. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move feely and avoid eating large meal prior to the workshop. Suitable for all abilities and levels of fitness, no previous yoga experience required.
If you have severe back problems, please consult your doctor and consider coming to me for private sessions instead.

Feedback from previous workshops:
"Thanks for a great afternoon - lots of tips and advice - may be spurred into trying to do some daily practice."
"I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop. Naomi, you explained and demonstrated everything very clearly, which clarified a lot of questions that I had before attending. I also found your explanation of the breathing technique whilst in pose hugely useful."
"Thanks for yesterday, I really enjoyed it. I was a bit worried that 3 hours might be too long but it flew by. I particularly enjoyed the deconstructing of some of the moves as it is quite difficult when practicing in a class or even at home to take the time to take each move apart if that makes sense. I also really liked taking the time out to do the breathing exercises."
"I really enjoyed the workshop - you created a really nice friendly and relaxed atmosphere for learning the basics and building on some prior knowledge, which a good balance of practice and theory which also left me feeling like I'd done a good workout!"
