Next week is the beginning of a new autumn 8 week term at the Bristol Yoga Centre. I have five lovely classes at the studio. All of the classes are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced students.
Bristol Yoga Centre also has lots of other classes such as Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Yoga for Backs, Yoga for Sports, Pilates, Scaravelli Yoga and many more.
You can come as a drop in student or join the class any time. See here for more information on class fees.
To celebrate our opening, we thought we’d run an Open Week. From 8th – 13th May we’ll be running lots of free classes. It’s a great opportunity for anyone who’s never tried Yoga or Pilates to come along and give it a go.
See our Open Week page for full details on how to get involved.
Be sure to book in advance as we expect places to disappear fast!
The top prize is £48 voucher for the studio.
This will enable you to go for a one-to-one session with one of our brilliant teachers. This will provide a great chance to focus on any areas of your Yoga or Pilates practice that you would like to improve and help move your personal practice forward.
Visit our competition page for details on how to enter.
This enjoyable 2 hour monthly session explore a free-form, intuitive approach to practice, with a focus on how to move in a more connected, harmonious way. Inspired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, you will learn to move sensitively, avoiding imposing on the body and helping you to move with ease towards each Asana.
I encourage you to be less fixed on the shape you're making and instead invite you to feel and observe your body as it moves, noticing subtle connections in the body, areas of tension, and patterns of holding that limit your mobility. Learn to use gravity and the breath to both strengthen and release, and find a new freedom of movement in the body.
Everyone is invited, whether you are an experienced yoga practitioner or a complete beginner to find more strength and suppleness in the body through the use of movement, breath, gravity and discovering length in your spine.
Please get in touch with questions or to book a space.

It's best to book in advance and the best way to do this is to contact the teacher directly. The 7 week term costs £56 for daytime classes (£8 per class) and £63 for evening classes (£9 per class). We allow two class swaps per term when you sign up for the whole term. This way, if you need to miss a week or two, you can always make up for it by going to another class on our timetable. See here for terms and conditions.
Drop in costs £11 for daytime class and £12 for an evening class. We also have 5 class pack which costs £48 and £53 for day and evening respectively. The card is valid for two months and it's for use with the same teacher only. Daytime classes are usually an hour long and evening classes are an hour and fifteen minutes. There are concessions available on certain classes.
There are lots of other morning, lunch time and evening yoga classes running at the centre so visit here for more details.
We are currently busy building the new website and creating a logo for the centre. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you soon. As usual, we are making it ourselves so bear with us (this is one of the reason why I'm getting some of my classes covered by other lovely yoga teachers).
I hope your enjoying the longer days and (slightly) warmer weather :)
I'm super excited to announce that I will be taking over the Bristol Yoga Space Park Row studio from March 2017. The studio has been operating for over 7 years and I've been teaching there since the year opened. I feel incredibly lucky to be given this opportunity, it also feels like a natural progression in my yoga teaching career.
There will be more Yoga & Pilates classes and workshops added to the timetable and there are lovely new yoga teachers joining the team. I've just brought some yoga props such as yoga belts, bricks, eye pillows, bolsters and Pilates bands so the studio will be fully equipped very soon.
I am taking over the popular Friday morning class from 10:00 - 11:00am and a brand new Friday lunch time class at 12:00 -1:00 pm will be added from next term (10th March 2017). The new term starts on the 6th March 2017. Please see here for more details.
The studio will continue to be called Bristol Yoga Space during the transitionary period but it will eventually change to 'Everyday Yoga'. A brand new website and logo will be launched around the same time too.
For details about the classes at the studio please visit the Bristol Yoga Space Park Row page. I look forward to welcoming you in this lovely new space.
I will keep you posted with more news!
